‘’Rebirth” – a photo exhibition by Malin Marinov

The Cultural Center „Jules Pascin“ marked the third anniversary of its opening with the photo exhibition „Rebirth“ – an exposition that tells a story about the power of memory, time, and hope. The initiative is part of the cultural program of the „Blue Danube“ International Folklore Festival, organized by Vidin Municipality and taking place from September 4 to 6, 2026.

Opening of the exhibition "Dreams of awakened souls", artist Daniela Petrova

The exhibition "Dreams of awakened souls" – poetry and art by Daniela Petrova, opened on June 1, 2026, at the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin" in Vidin. The event took place to the accompaniment of classical music and gathered admirers of visual art and poetry. The exposition presents a combination of surrealist painting and original texts, with each artwork accompanied by a poetic element.

The exhibition can be viewed at the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin" up to and including June 14, 2026.

 


 

Presentation of the documentary film "The Danube Flotilla 1885"

On May 29 (Friday) at 17:00 in the Cultural Center "Jules Pascin", the documentary film "The Danube Flotilla 1885" was presented, dedicated to the defense of Vidin during the Serbo-Bulgarian War.

The film was presented by Flotilla Admiral Vanyo Musinski – Deputy Commander of the Bulgarian Naval Forces and co-author of the production.

The event was organized with the assistance of the Municipality of Vidin, the Regional Historical Museum, and the State Archives – Vidin.

"European Night of Museums" 2026

Cultural Center "Jules Pascin" celebrated the "European Night of Museums" on May 23, 2026, by opening its doors to visitors during unusual evening hours. Guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the museum's atmosphere after sunset and learn about its history in an interactive way. Each visitor received a word puzzle, which they solved by discovering the answers within the exhibition.

The event offered free admission from 18:00 to 24:00 and attracted a multitude of culture and art enthusiasts.

Award ceremony for the winners of the math marathon

The Union of Mathematicians in Bulgaria – Vidin section, in collaboration with the Municipality of Vidin, organized the award ceremony for the winners of the math marathon for the 2025/2026 academic year. The event honored the best young mathematicians who demonstrated knowledge, logic, and perseverance in one of the most prestigious student competitions.
